Rihiveli South Male atoll

Our Opinion
A new resort to the UK market, which we have recently visited, at the Southern tip of the South Male Atoll. It has a very relaxed, laid-back feel and pleasant, traditional bungalows with outdoor hammocks. Set in a shallow lagoon with fabulous, deep beaches and two small, easily accessible islands (by wading or kayaking) for exploring and picnics. Friendly staff, good food and some great snorkelling spots within a short boat ride make this very popular with repeater guests.

    Summary
Rihiveli Maldives is located in South Male atoll. The resort is reached via a 60-minute speedboat ride, or seaplane, from Male International Airport.

Set in its own lagoon encircling the island, Rihiveli is a natural, laid-back, family friendly resort offering 48 sea-facing bungalows and authentic Maldivian hospitality.

Rihiveli also has two untouched islands resting on the edge of the lagoon, called Sunset Island and Bird Island. Just 400m away, they are within walking or swimming distance for those guests who wish to sample the natural unspoilt beauty and the pristine beaches.

If you are looking for an escape where you can truly relax and unwind, Rihiveli could be just the place for you. It's no surprise the island welcomes many returning guests year after year.

    Important Note
Effective 01 September 2015, Rihiveli will no longer operate speedboat transfers during daylight hours but will instead operate a seaplane transfer.
